Victorian Stuff(dresses, but not thinking)

hi all
i know that my first post was not about a very nice and happy topic, but this on eis. I really wanted to do a post about victorian stuff, and I've decided to make that want a reality :P

personally, i like victorian stuff. I think that the dresses are way awesome, and that their foods are cool too. I also like the style of victorian houses, or "painted ladies" as some call them. I'll start with my opinion about dresses, though.

my friend Rose has this awesome collection of victorian dresses. This is mostly because her mom is super cool, and has all that stuff from her mom. All these dresses are stored in a few trunks in the back of her mom's closet. If I were in a detective story, I would obviously assume that there was something sacred/dangerous/horrifying in those trunks. Since I'm not, I know that there are just dresses in them. Really awesome dresses. They have tons of different kinds-but all of them are old. A bunch of them have a lot of lace on them, which is really cool. There is this one turquoise dress that looks like it has two parts. It doesn't actually, but it's really cool. It's also this amazing color, with super cool fabric.

she also has a bonnet, which in my opinion makes grown people look like babies. However, i guess it was in style back then :)

Now I think I'll start on their houses. I love them. There are a few on the way to my brother's camp, and I always like passing them. They're really pretty, with all these spries and towers. Not like castles, but still really cool. A lot of them also have really pretty trim. A lot of times it's white, but it can be other colors too. Some door frames and porches have this stuff called gingerbread, which is basically really intricately carved wood. It looks really cool though, and I really like it

One thing I don't really like about victorian stuff is the way of thinking, Marie Antoinette was executed because of her husband's misdoings. I heard that her last words before she was hanged were "excuse me sir" because she'd stepped on a man's foot. I'm not sure if i believe that though...anyway, I don't have to convince anyone that killing wives because they don't have male bbies is bad, so i guess thats all I have to comment on for now

bye!
